I just ordered a MyTwinn personalized baby. I have heard these dolls are really heavy. But I really did not want it as a play doll for Kaitlin. More a doll to perserve a bit of her baby hood. She is changing so rapidly and soon I won't have a baby anymore. She is finally starting to look like their molds. In the beginning I did not think Kaitlin looked like any of these babies. But we held her first year picture up and realized she is starting to look like one of those dolls. So we ordered "Kailey": light skin, light brown eyes, two tone brown hair, face 156, straight thin hair. I will let you know what she looks like when it arrives. I could not pass up the opportunity to keep my baby a baby forever in one small way.

Hi Lieu,
I hope you like the MyTwinn baby. It was probably me that said they were very heavy, they are! And they feel very "chunky" as well, as compared to the Bitty Baby. I have an emotional attachment to our MyTwinn because we named her "Baby Vika (veeka)" which was Diana's Russian nickname while she lived in the orphanage. Otherwise that doll would've hit ebay long ago. Diana does not play with her at all. She is currently just sitting on the sofa in the piano room all by her lonesome. She is ignored here, which is a shame, but because she was so heavy, Diana never really bonded with her.
I hope she looks like your image of Kaitlin and you can preserve her baby years in that way, for yourself, even if Kaitlin does not play with her.

Laurie, you did say they were heavy. I really don't think Kaitlin will actually play with her. But I wanted a little image of Kaitlin forever. I think that is sort of nice. DH thought it would be cool to capture that moment in time as well. Usually he just rolls his eyes and says another doll.
